Welcome to The Shed Steakhouse
We’re passionate about good food, especially good steak. Our search for the perfect steak starts in the West Country fields. This is where our premium grade beef is reared according to rigorous animal welfare and farming practices.
Located minutes away from Seaton sea front, you’ll receive a friendly welcome, whether you’re just popping in for a drink or a scone (jam on top of course, it’s Devon after all!) or are spending the evening sitting down to a 3 course meal and cocktails.
Mornings call for Coffee and cake
Tuesday – Saturday mornings 10am-midday we’re open for our crowd-pleasing coffee and delicious pastries and cakes.
Perfect for meeting friends and family rain or shine.
Only the best beef
We do all our own butchery in house and source it from local farms and butchers. The meat is also hung on the bone for 7 days in special maturation chilling rooms before being further matured off the bone for 21 days. Hence the term 28 day aged beef.
It is this together with the fact that our west county cattle are prominently grass fed that makes our steaks so tender and delicious.
Burgers bursting with flavour
We are not all about premium steak. We also offer premium gourmet burgers (which we hand-make).
All our produce is as local as possible.
Not just steak
We also run a seasonal al la carte menu alongside our steaks. Other dishes include, ribs, chicken, pork & daily fish specials. We can cater for a range of dietary requirements including gluten free, dairy free and vegan.
“We had the joy of eating twice at The Shed on a week’s family holiday to the area. This place is a true gem. Everything is made by the chef, from the bread rolls to the sublime ice cream. This is fun dining but with wholesome food. The attention to detail is wonderful. A prawn sandwich is elevated to new heights with such perfect flavour combinations and skill. I will never forget my first bite, for a moment I felt like Greg Wallace on Masterchef, when the look on his face as he tries someone’s dish simply displays pure joy! My two teen kids will talk about their milk shakes for years to come and their food. They both said they’d move to the area just to be able to eat at The Shed every week! We were very well looked after by staff, as was our dog, nothing is too much trouble. As Seaton summer visitors are gradually visiting the area again with lockdown easing, be reassured that everything at The Shed is set up to comply with social distancing and hand cleansing requirements. These lovely people deserve to do so well with their restaurant. Treat yourself, you won’t regret it!”
EXCELLENT SERVICE AND GREAT FOOD
“We booked late for Saturday night last week (on Friday) and could only get in at 8.45pm. The person on the phone offered to call me back if any options to eat earlier came up, and true to their word a friendly call back Saturday morning and we got in at 8pm. The excellent service continued on and after arrival and we had a very good evening with extremely and helpful staff. Food was also very good overall, and excellent evening, highly recommend!!”
EXCELLENT FOOD AND SERVICE
“Visited at lunch time (tried to book for evening but was booked up for next three days so had a late lunch instead) saw the reviews on here first and I wasn’t disappointed. Was spoilt for choice on the menu but decided on the half rack of ribs and they were delicious the meat just fell off the bones. My youngest ordered off the children menu and they are very big portions intact all the portions were generous! Sadly I didn’t get either of the servicers names as they were both fantastic. In regards to covid19 the staff changed gloves everytime they brought or emptied the table and wore face covering throughout the only negative is that you had to walk very close to one of the tables when visiting the toilet but it had no impact on me or our visit. Would definitely recommend this place, gutted we won’t get chance to come again before the end of our holiday.”
